An Easter Break Retreat

at Oceanside

Our yearly Rummkids tradition with or without Dad.

He usually has to work too much but he does

manage to take a day and a half off for the trip.

Micah riding around on his bike.

He rode his bike along the beach shore at low tide.

On the way for a yummy breakfast burrito across from the beach at Oceanside. We've been coming to this beach for several years and just now discovered the food is really good at the rinky dink fast food shop.

Hungry Dad waiting for his breakfast burrito.

Jake's first vacation at the relaxing
Paradise by the Sea RV Resort with a
swimming pool, jakuzi and pool and ping pong tables.
But, he was too little to enjoy it all
like his big brothers Sean and Micah.

We walk under the railroad tracks and pass a park with a fun children's playground to get to the beach.

Running around are a bunch of squirrels.

A Day at the LA Zoo with Kelsea and Jake

Our first stop to see the cool looking rams.

Jake enjoyed his day at the LA Zoo sightseeing people and animals.

Kelsea walked most the day. Kelly bought a stroller with a back seat for her but she's too scared to ride in it. We had to bribe her with a new zoo toy to get her to ride for just a short distance.

Greg convincing Kelly to pose for a picture.
She'd rather take them than be in them.

Jake excited to get up close to the goat. We had to wash our hands before seeing the animals so they wouldn't get our germs. That's rediculous. Then we were not aloud to touch them. They handed us brushes to brush them instead.

Kelsea, Jake and Greg watch the huge hippo eat a whole lettuce. He eats whole watermelons too. He really needs to see the dentist. yuk.

Watch out for the crocodiles. The zoo had three baby crocs. The one below floated casually in the pool water. The other two layed out in the sun on a rock.

Kelsea's happiest moment - a children's train ride.

Do you like Jake's curl?

Kelsea watching the gorillas chase each other.

See how long her hair has grown.

At the end of the day Kelsea, Greg and Jake became an animal exibit -
The Daddy and his cubs exibit.

Kelsea's favorite animal was the crocodile. She was rewarded with a croc head on a stick toy. His jaws move up and down. Jake liked the toy too. We had a great day at the zoo while Sean and Micah went to a long scout merit badge day. But, we all were too tired at the end of the day.

5K and 1 mile race

Kelsea runs all around through Tri-City Park. She's too little to run the one mile. Maybe in a few years she'll run it.

Greg's happy to finish the 5K and waits to watch Micah run a one mile.

The newlyweds looking after Kelsea as she runs all around. Oops, they got distracted.

Waiting and waiting for the race to start.

Still waiting, and waiting . . .

Micah runninng the race.

Micah finishes the race in his blue jeans and skater shoes. Good running Micah, he had an asthma treatment soon after.

Sean sacrificed running for cleaning the chapel. Well, he didn't really want to run anyways.

Jake plays with a ballon, He hasn't learn to run but he can sure crawl.
